Second time back, this time following a show at the nearby Kelsey Theater. Tonight we met Sue (assuming manager/possible ownership) who was just so friendly and engaging; talked about their cooking styles and spice levels to understand better helping to make our dining experiences even more tasty and memorable. Shout out to Jack who took terrific care of us. We opened with both the sharing spring rolls (2 in order) - I'm not one for egg rolls or highly fried rolls but their spring rolls are nice, with a light crunch and you can taste all the ingredients inside and the Sakura Roll from their specials board- salmon, tuna mango wrapped in soy paper-- wonderful roll, soft, nice texture, great for anyone new to sushi. Following our conversation with Sue, we ordered the Black Mushroom with Chinese vegetables off the menu special page (to our happy surprise--- bok choy) and added chicken in a garlic sauce --- a terrific tasting dish. Plus we shared a Thai red curry shrimp spice level 5 and that was awesome, needs more spice still but it was a filling dish and they don't skimp on the shrimps-- No tails and cleaned, too. A lovely night out.

Boyfriend and I went there today. We ordered shrimp tempura roll, super crispy and fresh. The garlic chicken entree is the BEST GARLIC CHICKEN you will ever eat! We also ordered the grandfather chicken. Super flavorful and came with choice of soup, we chose the wonton soup, also very delicious. All the meat is white meat. Clean inside and the customer service is great and they are very friendly and attentive. This is definitely our new favorite asian spot! We will be recommending all of our friends and family to this restaurant. THANK YOU!

I only became aware of this place when I received a menu in the mail. I have lived in the area for over 15yrs trying to find a restaurant with Chinese food that matches the taste and flavors of the one I grew up eating located in Somerset. I have remained disappointed all this time until now! First order was the pork fried rice, shrimp dumpling, egg roll and fried crab puffs. The egg roll was OK, the dumpling and crab puffs were very good, but the real test was the pork fried rice. It was excellent! Tasted exactly how I like it prepared! I had to wait until I placed a 2nd order to seal the deal, lol. The Shrimp with Lobster sauce. Too many places, for some reason, put diced peas and carrots in it and the sauce itself has no flavor to it. Again, Modern Fusion won me over because it was so good and tasted just like my old home place. They gave a healthy amount of shrimp too. Modern Fusion is now my go-to place.

Great place to take friends and family. This is my go to when I need great comforting food. My favorite are the wings, they are super juicy and flavorful. It goes great with their chicken fried rice. Prob the best fried rice, you can taste they smokiness, the veggie are fresh and it’s not drowning in sauce and it’s very flavorful. Highly recommend

This is my favorite restaurant to eat out at in the Mercer area! If you want freshly prepared food, That taste beyond excellent come here! The staff is so friendly and the food comes in generously sized portions. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant if you haven’t tried it, I would highly recommend to do so

I’ve gotten Japanese and Chinese take-out here a good number of times and the food is consistently great! The staff are always super kind and gracious. There’s a good amount of vegetarian options and they can accommodate most requests. They also have sushi lunch specials which are a good deal.

Modern Fusion is a refreshingly fresh breath of air to Chinese cuisine in the area. The staff here are so friendly and will give you recommendations for traditional off menu items which are so delicious. I was quite happy with the amount of care put into my food and the positive demeanor of the staff.
